Project beneficiaries include 107,485 women of reproductive age, 20,199 infants and 20,562 pregnant women in the region of Hodh Chargui. The project provides medical and para-medical equipment for reproductive health facilities, awareness campaigns targeting 450,000 individuals on Reproductive Health services, Training of 342 health workers in different clinical disciplines related to the RH and support for the establishment of Maternal Death Audit through setting up a MDSR Committee. The project increases proportion of births attended by skilled health personnel from the previous 42.8 % to 60%., increase antenatal care (4) rate from the previous 45% to 65% and contributes towards the achievement of the health related SDG3 through reducing maternal and child mortality in Mauritania.
